After practicing yoga at home for quite some time, Stefanie contacted Shanti Yoga studio in 2012 regarding attending classes in a studio setting. After a few classes in the studio, she was hooked. Stefanie regularly attended classes at Shanti, falling more in love with yoga and its many benefits with each class. In 2014, she decided to further her knowledge and application of yoga by enrolling in Courtney Butler’s Balance Yoga and Wellness yoga teacher training offered through Firefly Yoga of Starkville. In May of 2015, Stefanie obtained her RYT 200 certification. She is eager to share the physical and mental benefits of yoga as a teacher. Stefanie is an avid music lover. She lives in Tupelo with her husband, Dustin, and their four cats.
Nelda began practicing yoga in January of 2005 after “accidentally” finding herself in a yoga class. The practice of yoga immediately resonated with me. She began practicing regularly and soon began studying yoga. She obtained her 200 hour teacher certification with Deborah Perry at the Yoga Center of Jackson, Tennessee in 2007. She has since had the privilege of studying with Laura Tyree, Scotta Brady, Judith Lasater, Stephanie Keach, Shiva Rea and Desiree Rumbaugh. Nelda loves to teach yoga for many reasons: sharing this ancient practice that helps balance the mind, body and spirit; watching others open themselves to the peace, strength and self-awareness that comes from practicing yoga; and getting to know so many wonderful yogis….glorious yogis of all ages and at all levels of their practice.

And also actually practicing yoga! Shanti has opened up a whole new world for her. Patti is excited to continue her Holy Yoga studies and share her love for Jesus and yoga with others.
