Mindfulness can be defined as the cultivation and practice of paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, without judgment. Considering the busy-ness of our daily lives, stopping long enough to pay attention to anyone or anything can and does become a challenge. The MCM (Mindfulness Community Meetup) is comprised of people who are interested in the cultivation and application of the core practices and principles of mindfulness. In our time together we will Sit (guided meditation), Move (gentle tai chi & qigong), and Talk (mindfulness teaching and group conversation). This is a free class offering led by Lisa Lippincott, a board-certified Advanced Practice Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
